Time with my Colleagues
I am often asked if I ever have the time to spend with my colleagues from work. If travel, write, and pray so much, when do I find the time? Here are some photos of the people whom I share an office and live with.
At the home of Jeff Friedman, my colleague Alex Marin surprises us with her voice and talent for music. The Ben Gurion photo is taken in the office of the Jewish agency which he used prior to independence. I'm sitting in his seat.
Mickey Cohen of the Jerusalem Foundation gives us his opinion on the Two Front War.
Early modernism is the style of this custom-designed home.
Will you answer the call of classic Zionism? Hopefully, as the ruling generation fades away, people such as this young patriot will restore Israel to its full potential.
Unfortunately, many Jews are confused about their identity, unwilling to accept the established tradition, they create a Judaism in their own image.
The Ophel archeological garden on the south side of the Temple Mount. Instead of glorifying these ruins, why not rebuild the stairs, mikvahs, and other holy sites surrounding the Temple Mount? After 30 years of abandonment, the Hurva synagogue is being rebuilt.
As the sun sets on Yerushalayim, the YMCA tower is bathed in a golden glow.
Smadar: Now you can take a photo of a refugee camp.
Me: looks more like an illegal rooftop outpost to me.
This is actually a rooftop campsite at a hostel on Zion Square.
Smadar Bacovic and her friend. The man lives in Ramallah. He is a secular Muslim, eats pork, and is planning to move to Europe. I was shocked. Whatever happened to the stereotype that Palestinians are religious nationalists? This man is actually tired of politics and fighting and wants to move on with life. I wish more Palestinians were like him. He knows that Israel is the tolerant, democratic state- a much better alternative than the Hamastan in which he lives.
Michael Gellman
The next day, my colleagues met philanthropist Michael Gellman. Gellman lives in Maryland and made his fortune in accounting. Like many well-known philanthropists, he is not very religious, but feels a sense of purpose and mission in supporting and promoting the good image of Israel. Treating us to a Middle Eastern restaurant, we all had a memorable time.
Notice the mustache. For some reason, mustaches are popular in the Arab world. I'm growing mine in support of Amir Peretz.
Notice the good aim of the waiter. I can imagine him winning skee-ball. His girlfriend must have plenty of stuffed animal prizes on her shelf. On the right, I try to fit into the architecture.

Thank you for being here in this time of need. On the right are Mrs. Gellman and Calev ben David.
